I see a lot of attacks politically from Red Hat Haters. But this is a review about their business and they may or may not pay the most in San Antonio or even Texas. I do know I enjoyed my 2 visits so far and I love their company trucks. It gets your attention real fast. And if you want business and want to draw customers post what gets people thinking. I can see it's brought both sides of the fence here and if your selling to a Red Hat Supporter and you are not that makes you a trader for supporting our cause. So who's side you really on if you complain about Red Hat Supporters but you keep coming to this business? I know this company treated me right, I dont care about who or what they back as long as at the end of the visit I feel I got a fair shake. I know they pay better and buy more metals then most other places. Try selling Christmas lights at Ashley's. Not a chance. So you guys keep doing what you do here and keep painting your truck how you like. Keep buying metals that no o e else does i will keep coming back. Great to fund another welcoming place.

Great place to make a few dollars for your scrap metal. Employee's are very nice and helpful. I recommend everyone sell your scrap metal here at TEXAS AUTO SALVAGE. 5 STARS ALL DAY EVERY DAY.

Careful if you're a first-timer here. It was obvious I had never been there before when I had to ask for instructions on where to park, unload, what to unload in what cart & so on. No sense of organization whatsoever. There's 2 things they weren't counting on..& that's the fact that i speak, understand, read & write spanish & also that I knew exactly what I had to be recycled. One guy (older white guy) was helpful even though I didn't agree with how he identified a batch of aluminum he did help me unload everything. The other guy(a heavy set Hispanic guy) at the scale seemed ok but after giving me my slip I walked to my truck thinking I needed to move it out of the way he stops me & says I can leave my truck where it's at & instructs me to take slip to someone in an office. As I walk to the "office," I hear him in Spanish ask a customer, "Do you remember not knowing anything like him?" LOL. Then I get paid, look at receipt & notice I only got paid for a few pounds of stainless steel. Impossible!! I had an easy 4.5 pounds of clean stainless steel with no magnetic properties in loose scrap like nuts,bolts, brackets, etc. Along with that 4.5 lbs was an 8 lb solid 1.25×22" round bar of 316 stainless non-magnetic. Still, I gave them each 5 bucks & thanked them for their help.

The best yard I've been to with great customer service and the prices are to me the best in town. Come by and check it out Monday thru sat and open Sundays shi can't beat it.

Great prices, great customer service, and very clean yard. Also very easy to get in & out of unlike some other scrap yards i’ve been to in the past. First time here today and I can definitely say I won’t be going elsewhere!! Highly recommend!!
