Frequently asked questions

How do I purchase parts at Copart - Columbia SC?

Copart - Columbia SC operates as a vehicle auction platform rather than a direct retail parts store. Individuals interested in parts typically purchase entire salvage vehicles through Copart's online auctions. These vehicles are then acquired by dismantlers or individuals for parts harvesting. The facility provides opportunities for vehicle inspection prior to bidding.

Does Copart - Columbia SC buy junk cars?

Yes, Copart acquires vehicles, including those considered junk or salvage, from various sources. They offer services for selling vehicles, which includes assisting with necessary paperwork and arranging towing from the vehicle's location.

What is the warranty policy for used parts?

Copart sells vehicles 'as-is, where-is' through its auction process, meaning there is generally no warranty from Copart on the condition or functionality of the vehicle or its parts. Buyers are encouraged to inspect vehicles thoroughly before bidding. Any subsequent warranties on parts harvested from these vehicles would be provided by the dismantler or seller of those individual parts, not Copart.
