We're extremely nice and helpful. I was getting a car out for a family member and they were very kind and understanding. They also did not charge too much to get the vehicle out. I bought tires from here once before and I ended up having to return because I got the wrong size, and he gave me my full refund. Good people!

I don’t like to leave negative reviews. They got to me faster this time than usual. My complaint is the pricing. To take my car 8 miles up the road they want to charge 125. Then they want to blame diesel prices. I understand they may have gone up but you are telling me 8 miles equates to more than maybe 10 dollars of diesel? On average diesel trucks/semi-trucks can get 6.5 miles per gallon. Essentially they are using less than 2 gallons to tow my vehicle. So how does that equate to 125 when the cost use to be 50 dollars (to take it 6.5 miles away, not much difference in miles compared to 8 miles now). So you decided to jump the cost up 75 dollars? Make it make sense…. It’s not because of fuel that’s just a convenient excuse.

If there was an option for 0 stars I would have rated this business more accordingly. After a major accident with a fatality the sheriffs department sent my vehicle to Bakers. I was there to pick up the vehicle the same day the police …

This place is a racket! Why would Madison Co. Sheriff use such a disgusting place?! Cash only, no set fee list posted! No recourse. No choice but to pay what they demand!? My 20yr old son was pulled over, 3 officers & 2 hours on his bumper later they tow his truck because he couldn't show proof of insurance & his paper plates were expired. Baker's Towing shows up, takes the truck. That was a Thursday night before a holiday. The license branch was closed until the following Tuesday. I called Baker's Monday morning to see how much it would be to get the truck out Tuesday. The man who answered was rather snippy, barking "its 215 today, goes up $30 a day. Cash only". Ok, so that would make it $245 on Tue, right?...nope. Tue comes, we call ahead, the man is again very short with answers when asked what he needed to get the truck. He said "a licensed driver and proof of insurance". We eventually had to make a run to the license branch for additional paperwork and returned to Baker's a 2nd time. All the paperwork in hand and $245, and proceeds to tell me "No, its $275." I repeat the conversation we had Monday on the phone, he denied speaking to me at all. I asked to see a "fee list", so he grabs his hand written receipt and starts poking it with every statement, shouting at me the different fees he wrote down. I again argue i was told $215 on Monday, so it's $245 today...he grabs his calendar off the wall and starts smacking it for every day the truck was at the yard. He's shouting and spitting, then throws the calendar at us on the counter and shouts "ITS $275!" So we had no choice, we paid what he said. He was still unable to explain the mess of math and scribbled out "gate fee" on that receipt. NO FEES POSTED ANYWHERE FOR A CUSTOMER TO CONFIRM. You are at their mercy. There's no way this place is honest! Why else would you have a CASH BUSINESS. Shady, shady place and shame on Madison Co for using such a place.

I can't believe that the Madison County Sherriff Department would use this business. A friend of mine was killed in an auto accident and her car was towed to this facility. When I went to clean out her car, the owner said since the keys …

We had a water incident with our Durango and usually take it to Humphrey’s in Alexandria. Have been going to them for years and have even bought several cars and never had a problem. Due to the severity of the damage to the car/engine Humphrey’s could not take it so they recommended this shop. What was supposed to take a couple weeks turned into an almost three month wait. Upon recovering the car, finally after several calls from my boyfriend, AND PAYING FOR IT IN CASH IN FULL, we got the car back and it was running rough and there was all of a sudden no air conditioning. This is a new durango srt so there’s no reason it was not fixable. One of the employees stated that in a couple weeks they would have the freeon for the car and they could fix it. After insurance paid for their half AND the freeon, we then found out from Humphrey’s that you can not do that unless you have special equipment. Insurance has been trying to get ahold of them for weeks now, and lo and behold they are not answering the phone calls. They are cheaters and liars at this business and make people pay for services they can’t even provide. The engine light now comes on and the car continues to shake and isn’t running any better. We have tried several times ourselves to contact the man or people who work here and they continue to ignore our calls. Very disappointed and will never use their services again. Insurance fraud and terrible service is all they do here. Very disappointing.

Very nice guy that runs the shop, let me come in and get exactly what I needed, a high quality tire for a spare. Very professional for a good price.

These people are liars, and will lie about what you need to get to get your vehicle back, just so they can keep it, file for a lost title and sell your vehicle. Very rude people
